Sensational Move the choice in James B Dawes Mem Trophy
Eleven runners are set to compete in the $1.25-million James B Dawes Memorial Trophy, a Non-Restricted Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m).
Here’s a detailed look at each runner and their chances of winning:
1. INSPIRE FORCE (USA): (5 ch h by Union Jackson – Exotic Design) – Despite dismal recent performances, Inspire Force has potential. His last six runs have been disappointing, but he has shown glimpses of his talent in the past.
2. BIG ARGUMENT : (7 ch m by Nasheet – I don’t Know) – Unlikely to win.
3. MRS LYNDHURST: (5 ch m by Soul Warrior – Lady Tarkari) – Holding her own at this level, expected to run well. Mrs Lyndhurst has been consistent and should be in the mix.
4. MONEY MISER: (5 ch h by Soul Warrior – She’s Traditional) – Distance may be too short, but could surprise.
5. A GIFT FROM BEN: (6 ch m by Here Comes Ben – Sage’s Giftbox) – Likely to be left behind.
A Gift From Ben has not shown enough to suggest she can compete with the top runners.
6. JORDON REIGN’S (USA): (7 b g by Mosler – Dearie Be Good) – Struggling, but not to be dismissed. Jordon Reign’s has been struggling in recent times, but he has shown talent in the past and could surprise.
7. SENSATIONAL MOVE: (5 ch h by Sensational Slam – Money Move) – Consistent performer, poised for a win. Sensational Move was beaten by 2 lengths by California Crown on February 1 over 5 furlongs (1000m) round. Now going half-furlong longer, Sensational Move is poised for a winning run.

9. FREEDOM STREET: (6 b c by Uncaptured – Nofashionsense) – Proving costly, only trustworthy to some extent. Freedom Street has not been consistent and is hard to trust.
10. BANADURA: (4 b f by Casual Trick – Esperanza) – Expected to run well, but not favoured to win. Banadura should run a good race, but may not have enough to take the top prize.
11. FEARLESS FORCE (USA): 4 dk b/br f by Another Down – A Merry Song) – Recent winner, but unlikely to repeat. Fearless Force won her last race, but may not be able to repeat that performance.
