Governor-General resumes duties after medical leave
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen will return to office on Monday, February 17, following a leave of absence for recovery from surgery.
Sir Allen has been on leave since December 16, 2024.
During his absence, Custos of Kingston, Steadman Fuller, served as the acting Governor-General, ensuring that official responsibilities continued without disruption.
Custos Fuller’s temporary appointment concludes on Friday. Sir Patrick Allen has expressed his gratitude for Custos Fuller’s service and dedication to the nation during the period.
