Man and goat die in St Elizabeth car crash
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A man died as a result of injuries he sustained when he lost control of his car on the Braes River main road in St Elizabeth on Sunday.
The crash also resulted in a goat being killed.
Police named the deceased man as Devaugnie Samuels, 27, a resident of Braes River in St Elizabeth.
A police report said about 10:15 am, Samuels was driving his 2011 Toyota Corolla Axio when he lost control of it and crashed into a meter post. The post collapsed and fell onto a goat killing the animal.

The car also overturned during the crash. Samuels was taken to hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
Statistics from the police show that up to early Sunday morning, 37 people died in road crashes since the start of the year compared to 46 during the corresponding period last year.
