Mayberry strengthens sporting legacy with SW Isaac-Henry meet sponsorship
Mayberry Investments Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and athletics with its continued sponsorship of the SW Isaac-Henry Track Meet.
As a dedicated partner for the past seven years, Mayberry says it remains steadfast in its mission to nurture young Jamaican athletes and support the nation’s sporting legacy.
The ninth staging of the SW Isaac-Henry Track Meet, scheduled to take place at the National Stadium on February 15, 2025, serves as a platform for aspiring track and field athletes to showcase their talent and develop their skills in a competitive environment. The annual meet has grown significantly over the years, attracting some of the country’s most promising young athletes.
Speaking at the official press launch at the Spanish Court Hotel on January 30, Mayberry Investments Marketing Manager Desiree Wheeler highlighted the importance of investing in youth athletics.
“This meet is not just about competition, it is about fostering growth, resilience, and excellence — values that we at Mayberry deeply believe in. At Mayberry, we have always been committed to nation building, and sports play a crucial role in that mission. Athletics has long been a source of national pride for Jamaica, and we understand the importance of investing in our young athletes. The journey to greatness begins at events like this, where raw talent meets opportunity. By supporting this track meet, we are not just sponsoring an event; we are investing in the future of Jamaica’s sporting legacy,” she said.
Worrel Hibbert, principal of St Andrew Technical High School, expressed his gratitude for the continuous support from sponsors.
“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of sponsors like Mayberry Investments Limited, who have played a crucial role in the development of this track meet. Their generosity has allowed our young athletes to compete at a high level, gain exposure, and refine their skills in a structured environment. The long-term investment in these athletes goes beyond competition — it shapes their future and contributes to the strength of Jamaica’s track and field programme,” he said.
The SW Isaac-Henry Track Meet continues to be a pivotal event for student-athletes across the island, providing a pathway for young talent to progress to national and international competitions. As the competition grows each year, Mayberry remains committed to fostering athletic excellence and supporting the next generation of Jamaican track stars.
