Lzdy Juizy spreads awareness about autism
Recording artiste Lzdy Juizy is raising awareness about autism with a track of the same name.
The self-produced track was originally released in 2017 and outlines her personal experience with her son — who was diagnosed with the disorder — but re-released it earlier this month hoping to garner more support for not only her case, but for others living with disabilities.
“I wrote this song because I wanted to raise awareness about autism and also implore the Government to do more for children with autism, as well as special needs children overall,” she said.
As a close-hitting song, Lzdy Juizy describes it as very emotional, as she recalls difficulties she has faced dealing with reactions to her son.
“There is this stigma that is associated with special needs children; people tend to treat them a different way, but we should show them more love,” she said.
Even though the song didn’t make a huge impact as expected, she is still very happy that a lot of people showed her love and the message was heard.
“Every time I sing this song, I cry. I’m hoping that others will hear it and have more compassion for not just children with special needs but their parents as well,” the Lzdy Juizy added.
As a dancehall and reggae rap artiste, Lzdy Juizy is aiming to make a name for herself in the music industry globally. Her growth is shown on social media with singles such as I Love Money gaining traction and over 400,000 views online.
She is also working on several numbers for release later this year.
“My goal at this time is to produce more music, do videos, and get my message to the world,” the artiste continued.
