Geolithic stamps authority with impressive win
In a performance that underscored her growing reputation, Geolithic (Neolithic – Queen G) produced a commanding front-running display to capture the $1.25-million Bonnie Blue Flag Trophy feature at Caymanas Park on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
Trained by Peter-John Parsard, the five-year-old American-bred bay mare Geolithic dominated the Restricted Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over seven and a half furlongs (1,500m), winning by a length and a quarter in a slick 1:34.0 (23.2 x 46.1 x 1:13.0 x 1:27.0).
With Panamanian jockey Ismael Velasquez aboard, Geolithic exploded out of the starting gates, taking the lead and never relinquishing it. She’s A Godgift (Javaniel Patterson), Eazy Peazy (Demar Williams), and
Awesome Anthony (Raddesh Roman) gave chase, but Geolithic maintained a comfortable advantage throughout.
Geolithic extended her lead navigating the half-mile (800m) turn and turned for home with a strong lead ready for the drive in deep stretch. Although tiring slightly in the final stages, Geolithic held on for the win, with She’s A Godgift finishing strongly for second place ahead of Super Alex (Dick Cardenas).
