EPL showdown: Bournemouth host Liverpool at Vitality Stadium

Milan Derby: AC Milan, Inter Mian square off at the San Siro

The unexpected clash of the titans in the Premier Leagues takes place tomorrow, Saturday, when the red-hot Bournemouth and league leaders Liverpool go head-to-head, then on Sunday it’s the eagerly anticipated Milan derby when AC Milan and Inter Milan square off at the San Siro.

Event # 1 – EPL– Bournemouth vs Liverpool– 10:00AM

Fans should witness a cracker on Saturday when the eagerly anticipated clash between Bournemouth and Liverpool takes place at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth has been the surprise package in the league so far this season, sitting seventh in the table and are looking like challenging for a top four place. Indeed, the “Cherries”, Bournemouth, are undefeated in their last 11 matches in the league and have scored nine goals in their last two matches, brushing aside Newcastle and Nottingham Forest without much fanfare. Ahead of this game, Bournemouth battered Nottingham Forest 5-0 in impressive fashion, signalling their intention to challenge for a European spot. With that said, the Cherries have caused all sorts of problems against all the big-name teams they have played this season, beating the likes of Arsenal, Man City, Tottenham, and most recently Nottingham Forest at home.

Leaders Liverpool, similar to Bournemouth, have been impressive all season long, having not lost a Premier League match since September 2024. The Reds, Liverpool, lead the table by six points, even having played a game less than their closest opponents. With that said, the matchup against Bournemouth promises to be a blockbuster affair as both teams enter this match having registered big wins at the weekend: Bournemouth 5-0 over Forest and Liverpool 4-1 over Ipswich Town. However, Liverpool have been on a different level from the rest of the league so far this season and have put themselves in a position where the title is theirs to lose. They are brimming with confidence and have been consistent with their performances all season, especially as they boast one of the best attacking set of players upfront and their solid defence makes them tough to beat.

Key Stats

● Bournemouth – Bournemouth are on an impressive nine-game unbeaten run with five wins and four draws, including a 3-0 win away at Man United

● Liverpool – Liverpool have been breathtaking so far this season, winning all seven matches played in the Champions League to lead the table, and won their last five games scoring 13 goals and conceding just three times in all competitions.

● Both sides – Liverpool have had the upper hand in the recent head-to-head meetings, with Bournemouth winning 10 of their last 11 such matchups, Liverpool won the last matchup 3-0 at home.

The betting tip: Liverpool win.

Event # Serie A – AC Milan vs Inter Milan– 12:00PM

The Italian Serie A will see one of the most eagerly anticipated derbies taking place on Sunday, with AC Milan and Inter Milan squaring off in the Milan derby at the iconic San Siro stadium. AC Milan currently sit eighth in the table, while their neighbours and fierce rivals Inter Milan occupies second place, just behind leaders Napoli. Matches between these two Italian giants have always been thrilling encounters and this Sunday’s promises to be no different. AC Milan will enter this clash having beaten Inter Milan 3-2 a few weeks ago to claim the Italian Super Cup title, and they won the reverse leg in the league earlier this season. At home, AC Milan have won four times, drawn five times, and have suffered just one loss, to suggest that they have been solid at home but not as spectacular as they would have hoped for at the beginning of the campaign.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, find themselves second in the table, just behind leaders Napoli, and a win for Inter, coupled with a loss by Napoli, would see them taking over leadership of Serie A. Inter Milan have been impressive so far this season, especially away from home where they have remained unbeaten, having won seven and drawn two of their nine games played on the road. Inter Milan’s recent form has been particularly impressive, with four wins and one draw in their last five league games. Their latest game saw them dismantling Lecce 4-0 away from home, showcasing their impressive attacking threat.

Key Stats

• AC Milan – AC Milan are unbeaten in their last nine home league matches.

• Inter Milan –Inter Milan are unbeaten in their last five away matches in the league. Last season Inter Milan won both games against AC Milan (5-1 at home and 2-1 away).

• Both sides –The most recent clash between both teams resulted in a 3-2 away win for AC Milan in a result that serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of the Milan derby. In their last five head-to-head clashes, AC Milan have won two while Inter Milan have won three.

The betting tip: Inter Milan win.
