Trial date set for woman accused of assaulting minor and stealing his phone
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A woman who allegedly assaulted a minor and took his phone was given a trial date when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
Ann-Marie Williams is currently facing charges of assault occasioning bodily harm and larceny in relation to a 2023 incident.
According to court documents, Williams visited the minor’s house where it is alleged that she struck him and took his phone. She was later arrested and the phone was recovered at the police station.
During Tuesday’s hearing, Senior Parish Judge Sanchia Burrell said the matter was ready for transfer despite the absence of a medical report for the minor.
The case was then transferred to Court 4 and a trial date set for March 18-19, 2025.
