We Inspire Women Vision Board Brunch goes Gold for 9th staging
Anticipation is building for the ninth staging of the annual We Inspire Women’s Vision Board Brunch, an event set to empower attendees as they step into 2025 with purpose. Dubbed “The Gold Standard”, the brunch event is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, 12 January, 2025, at the Hyatt Ziva Hotel in Montego Bay, and features a stellar line-up of speakers, including Dr Tashni-Ann Dubroy, vice-president at Howard University; Sitara English-Byfield, CEO, PAC Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL); Dr Claudine M Lewis, cardiologist and managing director of Heart Smart; and Cecile Levee, noted entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Attendees can look forward to an atmosphere of camaraderie and sisterhood as they come together to share their goals and visions for the year ahead. From thought-provoking discussions to moments of inspiration, the event promises to create meaningful connections and spark the kind of motivation that extends far beyond the brunch.
Cortia Bingham McKenzie, founder and CEO of We Inspire Women, shared her enthusiasm for this milestone event, “This brunch has always been more than an event — it is a movement. It is a space for like-minded women to connect, celebrate their dreams, and find the inspiration to take bold steps. We come together to share stories, support each other, and set the tone for an unstoppable year ahead.”
Dr Dubroy, whose achievements include being the first Jamaican black woman to chair the board of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and vice-president at Howard University, is set to deliver the keynote address, which aligns with the brunch’s theme of breaking barriers and embracing opportunities.
English-Byfield, a dynamic leader in aviation, and Dr Claudine M Lewis, a distinguished cardiologist, will both share their journeys of resilience and success, inspiring attendees to push beyond boundaries and aspire to define their own success.
Approaching a decade of impact, We Inspire Women continues to touch the lives of thousands of women and girls across Jamaica. This brunch also marks the launch of the Vision Board High School Tour, beginning on Friday, 24 January, 2025, at Discovery Bay High School in St Ann. This programme has inspired thousands of young women to visualise success and take bold steps towards their dreams, creating ripple effects in communities islandwide.
Reflecting on the milestone, Bingham McKenzie shared her gratitude and vision for the future,“Celebrating nine years of We Inspire Women is a reminder of the power of representation and sisterhood. This mission has always been about empowering women and girls to dream boldly, act confidently, and know their worth. As I look ahead to many more years of this mission, I am energised by the lives we have touched and excited for the endless possibilities the future holds.”
The We Inspire Women Vision Board Brunch is made possible with the support of sponsors including the Hyatt Group, Lifespan Water, and This is Really Great Yogurt.
