Taneisha Shaw’s Wisdom pays off
Former dancehall promoter-turned-minister-and-recording artiste Taneisha Shaw has released her first book, titled Wisdom to Win the War.
The Whole Life College alumna, who earned a certificate in Kingdom Principles and Biblical Foundation, released the work on December 27, 2024, after dedicating years into perfecting the content.
“The challenges provoke the champion in me and brought me to wisdom, so that’s where the book came from. With this book, people will get to know the Word of God and know how to apply it, so [that) they can be able to win in life,” Shaw told the Jamaica Observer in explaining the inspiration for the book.
Prayer is the most fundamental weapon in spiritual warfare and an open communication with God. Understanding who you are in the kingdom of God and how effective you can become and knowing how to apply the Word of God to your prayer life is by far the most effective strategy in spiritual warfare, Shaw believes.
The book teaches strategies to enhance your prayer life and enable the reader to experience the power of God in their lives by understanding and applying the knowledge gained.
The book is currently available on Amazon, but will become available in local bookstores and pharmacies soon.
In March 2020, Shaw launched her daily devotional on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram which has attracted a combined viewership of 600 people each day.
Shaw, who hails from Maxfield Avenue in Kingston, anticipates that the book will offer encouragement to readers who are experiencing difficulties.
“I hope that when people read this book they realise that there is a battle before a blessing and that everything that you go through is actually taking you to a place of abundance if you trust God and apply the Word. The things that you go through keep you in a posture of prayer, and what the enemy meant for bad always turns out for good,” she said.
Shaw has released tracks such as God and Time with artiste Pamputtae and Fruits After The Fight with gospel singer Rian Davis.
