PNP mourns tragic loss of Jessie Ripoll Primary principal and wife
THE People’s National Party (PNP) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic passing of principal of Jessie Ripoll Primary School O’Neil Stevens and his wife, Camesha Lindsay-Stevens, decribing their deaths as “a devastating blow to their daughters, the school community, and the nation at large”.
PNP deputy spokesperson on education and community development, Dr Kenneth Russell urged that at this time of immense grief the entire community comes together in supporting the family.
The couple met their death on Friday in a motor vehicle collision in the United States.
“As a community, let us come together to reflect on and build upon the values of excellence and service that Mr and Mrs Stevens so passionately championed,” Dr Rusell said.
“Principal Stevens was an exemplary leader whose vision and dedication transformed Jessie Ripoll Primary into a beacon of excellence. He served the education system with distinction at both the primary and secondary levels.
“His unwavering commitment to excellence and his focus on the holistic development of students have left a legacy that will endure for generations,” the PNP spokesman said, adding that Mrs Stevens was a pillar of strength and kindness, dedicated to improving the school and its community.
Dr Russell assured the Ministry of Education and the school administration that they could count on the full support of the PNP in helping the community heal.
“The PNP also extends its full support to the teachers, staff, students, and parents as they navigate this tragic situation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are mourning the loss of these remarkable individuals. May their souls rest in peace, and may their legacy of excellence continue to inspire and uplift us all.
