Manhunt launched for escaped alleged gunman in Spalding stand-off
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The police have launched a manhunt for one of the four alleged gunmen who surrendered to cops following a standoff in Spalding, Clarendon on December 8.
The escapee has been identified as Chevaughn Carnegie.
The police confirmed that Carnegie escaped custody while under police guard at the Kingston Public Hospital Tuesday morning.

The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the prisoner’s escape.
The police are appealing to anyone with information on Carnegie’s whereabouts to contact the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) at 876-948-6443, the police 119 emergency number, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest police station.
They are also reminding members of the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour fugitives.
Carnegie is being urged to turn himself in at the nearest police station immediately.
