Kiwanis Club of Mandeville spreads cheer at Mandeville Regional Hospital
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — In the spirit of giving and kindness, the Kiwanis Club of Mandeville brought joy and festive cheer to the Mandeville Regional Hospital on Christmas Day.
The club’s Young Children Priority One First Baby Boy Christmas Day project has become a beloved tradition, spreading love and happiness to those who need it most.
As the clock struck midnight on Christmas morning, the Kiwanis Club members eagerly awaited the arrival of the first baby boy born on this special day. And when the baby finally arrived, the club was there to shower him and his family with gifts, love, and congratulations.
The kindness didn’t stop there. The Kiwanis Club also presented gifts to the other patients and parents on the maternity ward, bringing smiles and warmth to those spending Christmas in the hospital.
In a heartfelt gesture, the club also extended their appreciation to the hardworking nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff who work tirelessly to care for their patients. Special tokens of gratitude were presented to these dedicated professionals, recognising their selfless commitment to delivering exceptional care.
“This project is a true reflection of the Kiwanis Club’s mission to serve and make a positive impact in our community,” said Cashave Shaw, president of the Kiwanis Club of Mandeville.
“We’re honoured to bring joy and happiness to those who need it most, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation to the remarkable hospital staff.”
As the Kiwanis Club of Mandeville continues to spread kindness and compassion throughout the community, their Christmas Day project serves as a shining example of the power of generosity and goodwill.
