Don Husky releases first track from forthcoming album
KINGSTON, Jamaica— ‘Jim Brown Badness’ marks the first single from Don Husky’s soon-to-be released album titled ‘Native Tongue’.
The track is a soulful number about the complicated world of street justice administered by Jim Brown, the former don of the infamous Shower Posse which ran Tivoli Gardens in West Kingston—Husky’s childhood home.
The next single, ‘Show Love’ is scheduled to be released in March with the complete album being released in April or May on Yard Birdz Records.
For this project, Yard Birdz Records brought in heavyweight producer Rohan Dwyer, who has worked with some of the biggest reggae and dancehall artistes, including Toots Hibbert, Buju Benton, and Chronixx.
“‘Jim Brown Badness’ and really this whole album showcases Husky’s immense talent and range. From R&B influenced songs, traditional reggae sounds, to dancehall bangers, Husky delivers,” said Yard Birdz Records president, Logan Johnson.
