Commandant to brush aside rivals in Fan Appreciation Day Trophy
Seven horses including the highly rated Commandant are down to face the starter in tomorrow’s 2025 $1.25-million Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) Fan Appreciation Day Trophy.
The Overnight Allowance race for three-year-olds and upward will venture over 9 furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m).
Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.
1. NEO STAR: (6 b h by Neolithic – Angel Dreams) – Now takes orders from trainer Anthony Nunes. Neo Star has won over this distance before in 1:54.4 and a reproduction of that effort could see him getting into the frame here.
2. BANADURA: (4 b f by Casual Trick – Esperanza) – Is not expected to win here.
3. INTRESTNTIMESAHED: (4 b c by Bold Conquest – My Friend Lucy) – Has been struggling since his win in the Jamaica St Leger in July of 2024. Intrestntimesahead is, however, expected to run well here.
4. EAZY PEAZY: (5 b h by Casual Trick – Baby P) – Has no chance of winning this one.
5. PROVOCATIVA (USA): (6 dk b/br m by Prontonico – Audacious Chloe) – Is going to be left behind in this one.
6. POSITIVE ID: (7 b m Bern Identity – Bubble Gal Bubble) – Based on current form, Positive ID cannot be recommended for a winning run.
7. COMMANDANT (USA): (5 b h by Girvin – Alotofappeal) – Obviously the horse to beat on paper. Commandant finished a length and a quarter in third place behind
Funcaandun and Legacy Isle in the Mouttet Mile on December 7, 2024. That run alone is more than enough to easily brush these aside.
