a need for more events to entertain Christians, gospel recording artiste Sebastian Braham will start the new year on a high note with the inaugural staging of Jubilee Gospel Concert.
It takes place on January 1 at Holiday Haven Resort in St Ann.
“Why I decide to do this was because, as Christians, there are many secular events taking place and we wanted to something to keep Christians entertained. It’s really a mode of celebration,” Braham told the
Jamaica Observer on Friday.
Among the gospel acts billed to perform are Jai Kingston, Petra Kaye, Sister Arlene, Johnmark Wiggan, and Braham.
“There are many things happening on the same day, but it wasn’t difficult for me to secure the artistes. As long as you book the artistes from early, and have the sponsors, because they are a huge help in pulling this event off,” Braham shared.
He also provided an insight into what patrons can expect at the concert.
“They can expect to have a good time. We’ll ensure that they leave the event feeling blessed as we ring in the new year with songs and praises to God,” said Braham.
In August Braham released the six-track EP titled
Fight This Battle for Me, his first body of work in more than 13 years.
Born in Runaway Bay in St Ann, he studied at Brown’s Town High School and was actively involved in church.
