Scotiabank joins Shericka Jackson to host Christmas treat in Manchester
BELRETIRO Basic School in Manchester came alive with laughter, joy, and the spirit of giving last Sunday, as Olympic sprint sensation Shericka Jackson hosted her third annual Christmas treat.
Scores of children from the community were treated to a day of festive fun, including face painting, thrilling mechanical rides, and an array of delightful holiday treats.
The event was made even more special with the support of Scotiabank, where Jackson serves as a brand ambassador.
The financial institution not only sponsored rides and refreshments but also mobilised a team of enthusiastic Scotia volunteers to help create a memorable experience for the children. The volunteers engaged with attendees, fostering a warm and festive atmosphere.
“We are always happy for any opportunity to give back to the communities we serve, and what better time than Christmas? It is particularly heart-warming to see families and children enjoying the spirit of the season,” said Yanique Forbes Patrick, vice-president of public affairs and communications at Scotia Group.
Jackson expressed her gratitude to Scotiabank for its continued support as she underscored the importance of partnerships in creating meaningful impact.
“I am excited to partner with Scotiabank for this initiative. I have seen first-hand the bank’s commitment to empowering communities, and its support of this treat is a perfect example of that. Together, we’re helping to create lasting memories and making this Christmas a little brighter for these youngsters,” Jackson said.
Scotiabank has partnered with Jackson for the hosting of her annual Christmas treat since it was first staged in 2022.
