Woman charged with boyfriend’s murder
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – A 27-year-old Westmoreland woman has reportedly confessed to the murder of her 50 year old boyfriend.
Dead is Vernon McIntosh of Savanna-la-mar in the parish.
Facing a murder charge is Donieka Segree of Morass, Hertford District.
Reports from the Savanna-la-mar Police are that at 11:40 pm Wednesday, McIntosh visited Segree’s home following a break-up conversation they had earlier that day.
An argument reportedly developed where McIntosh got boisterous and hit Segree in the face.
Segree allegedly took up a knife and used it to inflict stab wounds on him. He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
On Friday, December 20, the accused reportedly gave a caution statement to the police confessing to the murder, after which she was formally charged.
Her court date is being finalised.
