Dear Editor,

Today we mourn the passing of a journalism icon, Barbara Gayle.

A consummate professional, Gayle exemplified excellence in every aspect of her work. Her meticulous attention to detail, commitment to balance and fairness, and rigorous pursuit of truth set a high standard for her colleagues and aspiring journalists.

A devoted Christian and prayer warrior, Gayle served God through her profession, using her role as a truth-teller to make a positive impact. Her influence extended far beyond the newsroom, touching the lives of judges, lawyers, court administrators, and all those she interacted with during her illustrious 50-year career.

On behalf of the Association of Christian Communicators and Media, I offer deepest condolences to her family, colleagues, and associates. May her beautiful soul rest in peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire generations of journalists to strive for excellence and integrity.
