Bugle’s Thank You Lord tops New York chart
Reggae/dancehall artiste Bugle earns his first chart-topper on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart with
Thank You Lord.
The song, which features Buju Banton and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, was produced by Bambino Musik and Clear Sonics Music.
It is featured on Bugle’s latest album, Apex, which was released in August via An9ted Entertainment.
This is the third entry on the New York chart for Bugle, who previously charted with
Rasta Party (#5 in 2016) and Show Love featuring Etana (which peaked at #13 in 2019).
Elsewhere on the New York reggae chart, In Every Country by Busy Signal steps up from #9 to #7, while Match by Jah9 enters at #26. It’s Showtime by Tarrus Riley makes its debut at #28, and Sweet Lady by Robbie Lyn steps in at #30.
Moving over to the South Florida Reggae chart, Private Party by JC Lodge spends a third week at #1, with Fool’s Love by Kristine Alicia inching up to #5 and Love Doctor by Shuga rebounds from #11 to #9.
Smile by Michael St George continues to lead the pack on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart.
Reggae Music Still Deh Ya by Legato is #2, How Long by Blk Orchid is steady at #3,
I am the One by 6iixGal is at #4, and Karma by SkyStar is #5.
Now onto the Billboard charts, Awuke by Davido featuring YG Marley rises from #17 to #12 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart. The song is steady at #36 on the Rhythmic Top 40 Airplay chart.
And speaking of the Rhythmic Top 40, Close by Skip Marley inches up from #31 to #30 in its 5th week on the chart, while Akon’s Beautiful Day by Akon, rises to a new peak at #7.
Trinidadian gospel artiste Sherwin Gardner’s Find Me Here (Blessings Find Me) remains at #23 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs, where it got as far as #19.
For 2024’s best-selling reggae album Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers leads the pack on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart for a record-breaking 257 non-consecutive weeks.
Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy holds down the #2 spot, while
World on Fire by Stick Figure is #3.
Sean Paul’s The Trinity, which was recently certified gold in Germany, re-enters the chart at #4, while Greatest Hits by UB40 is #5.
Wisdom and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #6 and #7, while Dutty Rock by Sean Paul dips to #8.
Exodus and Rastaman Vibration by Bob Marley and the Wailers occupy positions #9 and #10.
