St James, Herbert Morrison clash in ISSA U-19 basketball
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Leaders St James High and Herbert Morrison Technical will both put perfect win records on the line when they meet in an Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association rural area Under-19 Boys’ Zone A game at Bogue.
St James High are coming off a 75-66 win over Holmwood Technical on Saturday and will face Herbert Morrison Technical, winners of their first four outings.
The top two from each of the two zones will advance to the semi-finals. Today’s winners will be certain to advance.
On Saturday, St James High led all the way against Holmwood Technical at the Montego Bay Cricket Club with Jordan Anderson recording a triple-double to lead his team. He scored 33 points, got 10 rebounds, and dished out 11 assists as they led from the start. They were up 26-15 after the first quarter and 38-26 at half-time before Holmwood Technical closed the gap to 46-53 after the third quarter.
Julio Smith supported Anderson with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Justin Salmon led Holmwood Technical with 19 points, while Kemar Morgan scored 18 points and had five rebounds and three blocked shots.
