9TYZ Nuh Regular
Dancehall artiste 9TYZ is celebrating the success of her track Nuh Regular under a London-based label she was signed to several months ago.
“I want to create a larger fan base and hope that the song continues to go into locations I’ve never set foot in. I want it to continue to open doors that I thought would never open, and for it to give my supporters hope and confidence in me as an artiste,” the entertainer, whose given name is Natisha Scott, told the Jamaica Observer.
The track was produced by Marlon Loud/Loud Entertainment. It has an accompanying music video that was shot by Shotbydollaz in Kingston.
Loud Entertainment is a multimedia and broadcasting company. Being signed to the label has been a step in the right direction for the Ocho Rios, St Ann, native.
“The connection happened through a mutual friend in January 2024. After having several meetings over the phone I had to make one of the biggest decisions at the time. As an artiste, we hear of so many things going wrong when it comes on to signing, but I had not one doubt because one thing about me I’m gonna take it to God and pray about it. So, thus far, the journey has been good; rocky at times because what is life without obstacles, right? I’m happy that I’m in a space where I am able to have creative control, my opinions matter, and the team believes in me most importantly,” she said.
The recording artiste said her qualities make her a cut above the rest in the industry.
“I’m very much versatile when it comes on to my music,so, even though my name is 9TYZ it has nothing to do with the type of music I create and with that my fans will always be getting a wide variety from time to time. I write based on my mood, experiences and knowledge. I’m an all-rounder, so therefore, whatever materials are placed on the table I can create art from it,” she said.
She added that there are more projects, including collaborations, in the pipeline.
