St James High wins fifth-straight in U-19 basketball
ST James High won their fifth-straight game in the ISSA Rural Area Under-19 Boys’ Basketball Competition, beating Holmwood Technical 75-66 in a Zone A game played at Montego Bay Cricket Club on Saturday.
The win took St James High to the top of the standings with 10 points, setting up a top-of-the tables clash against St James High who they will face on Monday.
Jordan Anderson recorded a triple-double to lead St James High, scoring 33 points, getting 10 rebounds, and dishing out 11 assists. The home team led from the start, 26-15, after the first quarter, 38-26 at half-time, before Holmwood Technical closed the gap to seven points after the third quarter with a 53-46 scoreline.
Julio Smith supported Anderson with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Justin Salmon led Holmwood Technical with 19 points while Kemar Morgan scored 18 points and had five rebounds and three blocked shots.
