Jamaica Police Federation hosts luncheon for members on suspension, interdiction
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Central Committee of the Jamaica Police Federation on Wednesday hosted a luncheon for over 100 members from across the island who are currently on suspension and interdiction at the Police Officer’s Club in Kingston.
During the luncheon, Chairman Sergeant Arleen McBean encouraged the members to remain strong, reflect, introspect and redirect their personal and professional aspirations in order to be the best version of themselves.
She also reiterated the police federation’s support to ensure that the necessary legal/moral assistance will be in place.
The attendees benefitted from presentations from Assistant Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Coombs, Assistant Chaplain Rev Deonie Duncan and Psychologist Ms Eloise Cato.
Meanwhile, eight policewomen were recognised during the event as the force continues to celebrate 75 years of women in the Jamaica Constabulary Force, under the theme “Promoting Equity, Empowerment and Excellence”.
There was also a private session with the suspended and interdicted members and the central committee.
That session was followed by the singing of a Christmas carol after which the members expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for the Jamaica Police Federation’s luncheon, gifts and support
