Renowned horse racing trainer Andrew ‘Rat’ McDonald passed away
The horse racing community is mourning the loss of esteemed trainer Andrew “Rat” McDonald, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2024.
Born on November 9, 1967, McDonald had a distinguished career in the industry, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.
After graduating from Trainers’ School in 2001, McDonald went on to achieve remarkable success, saddling 116 winners throughout his career. His dedication, expertise, and passion for horse racing earned him the respect and admiration of his peers.
