For a minute, it appeared that the favourite Legacy Isle — who took the lead just past the half-mile mark — was set to claim victory at the 2024 Mouttet Mile. But the Kentucky-bred, Jamaica-raced Funcaandun, ridden by Robert Halledeen, trained by Jason DaCosta and owned by Carlton Watson, had more fight, rallying over the final quarter-mile to win the prestigious Mouttet Mile at Caymanas Park on Saturday! The invitational wrapped a day of fun, flight, and frolic as the richest purse in the Caribbean captivated an audience that included titans of industry, local horseracing stakeholders and scores of fans, as well as international stars Estelle and Stephen Bishop.
