5 ways to create a mindful December
EVEN though the month is chock full of things to do, places to go and people to see, December offers a wonderful opportunity for reflection, celebration, and planning. Here are five meaningful ways women can make the most of the month, shared by life coach Beth-Ann Falconer.
Reflect, and celebrate your achievements
Take time to evaluate the past year. Journal about milestones, lessons learned, and personal growth. Celebrate your accomplishments, big or small, by treating yourself to something special or sharing your journey with loved ones.
Strengthen your relationships
Focus on meaningful connections. Organise a gathering with friends or family, write personalised holiday cards, or volunteer together. Use this time to nurture bonds and express gratitude to those who’ve supported you throughout the year.
Declutter and reset your space
End the year with a sense of renewal by decluttering your home. Donate items you no longer need to local charities. A refreshed space can help you feel mentally clear and energised for the new year.
Set intentions for the year ahead
Instead of rigid resolutions, create intentions or goals that align with your values. Use tools like vision boards, planners, or journalling to outline what you want to focus on in the coming year. Think about areas like your career, health, relationships, or personal development.
Embrace mindful self-care
Amid the holiday busyness, prioritise self-care. Treat yourself to moments of calm with activities like yoga, meditation, or taking long walks in nature. Use this time to recharge and align your energy for the upcoming year.
