Jay-Z accused in civil lawsuit of raping 13-y-o along with Diddy in 2000
A woman has accused rap mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter of sexually assaulting her along with Sean “Diddy” Combs more than 24 years ago, according to US media reports.
CNN reports that the woman initially filed the lawsuit against Combs in October, but on Sunday added Carter as a defendant in the civil lawsuit.
Carter is the first celebrity to be accused of sexual assault in connection to Combs, who has been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently in a New York jail awaiting trial next year.
Identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, the woman reportedly said she was 13 years old at the time she was allegedly assaulted by Combs and Carter at an after party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
In response to the allegation in a statement to CNN, Carter reportedly called the allegations “so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
