STETHS win record-tying seventh Ben Francis Cup
St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) beat Clarendon College 3-1 at the National Stadium on Saturday to win a record tying seventh ISSA/Wata Ben Francis Cup title.
The win snapped a nine-year run without a title for STETHS who had won six straight Ben Francis Cup between 2010 and 2015 and now are joint top with Cornwall College on the all-time list with seven titles.
Kaieem Lewis gave STETHS the lead when he scored in the 27th minute before Henry Johnson made it 2-0 when he scored in time added at the end of the first half.
Justin Hayles gave Clarendon College some hope when he converted a penalty in the 69th minute.
STETHS were not to be denied, however, as Jordan Blake came off the bench to score their third goal in time added at the end of the second half.
