Estelle for the ‘Mile’
International music star to attend prestigious Jamaican horse racing event
Caymanas Park is set to elevate its racing spectacle with the confirmed attendance of Grammy Award-winning artiste Estelle at the upcoming Mouttet Mile Invitational on December 7.
Estelle, a renowned multi-hyphenate entertainer from West London, brings her star power to the racing event, highlighting the growing global interest in Jamaica’s premier horse racing experience.
Known for her chart-topping hits like American Boy featuring Kanye West and her versatile musical portfolio spanning R&B, reggae, and dance genres, Estelle represents a perfect embodiment of cross-cultural entertainment.
“Estelle’s presence at the Mouttet Mile Invitational represents a pivotal moment for the Jamaican horse racing product,” said Solomon Sharpe, executive chairman at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited, operators of Caymanas Park. “It underscores the fact that horse racing is a big sport, and racing in Jamaica has an international appeal. Her global profile not only brings international attention to our premier racing event but also showcases the intersection between music and sport that Jamaica is known for worldwide.”
After a six-year musical hiatus, Estelle is back with her sixth studio album Stay Alta.
“My new album, Stay Alta, comes to you from My Version of Home said Estelle. “I hope you feel at home.”
She channels the soul and disco of musical icons like Diana Ross, Donna Summer, and Melba Moore to deliver a project that drips with the same kind of joy that fuelled their legendary careers.
The Mouttet Mile Invitational at Caymanas Park promises to be a landmark event, blending the excitement of world-class horse racing with the glamour of international entertainment.
The Mouttet Mile Invitational, launched in 2022, features a maximum field of 16 3-year-olds and up and boasts a purse of US$250,000 — the richest purse in the English-speaking Caribbean.
