Cavalier players sweep Caribbean Cup awards

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Cavalier FC players swept the awards after being crowned 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup champions.

Cavalier FC beat Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic on away goals after Tuesday’s second leg finals played in the Dominican Republic.

Dwayne Atkinson, who scored during the finals, was named MVP, while Shaquille Stein, who scored eight goals during the tournament including the goal in the first leg of the final, won the golden boot for the top goal-scorer. Vino Barclett was awarded the top goalkeeper award while the Youth Revelation Award went to Jalmaro Calvin.

Cavalier FC lost Tuesday’s game 2-1 for a 2-2 aggregate after winning the first leg played a week earlier in Kingston.
