Danielle Rowe killer claims ‘bitterness’ over HIV infection
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Dental assistant Kayodi Satchell who has admitted to snatching and murdering eight year old Danielle Rowe out of “frustration and bitterness” at being jilted by the child’s father who infected her with the HIV virus will know her fate on December 20.
Satchell by her own admission, snatched Rowe from the Braeton Primary and Infant School in Portmore, Catherine in June of 2023 and took her to a location in St Andrew where she fed her a meal before knifing her.
A seemingly penitent Satchell who reportedly also suffered a miscarriage was seen dabbing at her eyes and blowing her nose during the sentencing exercise which saw tears flowing from not only the mother and sister of Rowe but also seasoned court staff.
Rowe’s mother Sudine Mason sobbed silently throughout, at one point muttering “mi baby” as more details of what took place the day her child was killed emerged.
The wounded child was found by a member of the Jamaica Defence Force on Roosevelt Avenue in St Andrew. Her throat had been slashed.
She succumbed to her injuries in hospital two days later on June 10.
Satchell in September this year pleaded guilty to the acts which caused widespread horror and outrage.
