12 and 16-year-old named as victims of fatal Clarendon crash
CLARENDON, Jamaica – The names of the two children killed in a motor vehicle collision in Clarendon on Monday have been released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Dead are 12-year-old Richard Tulloch, a student of Turner’s district, Chapelton, Clarendon, and 16-year-old Jody-Ann Lodge, a student of News Bowens district, Clarendon. Both attended Lennon High School.
Detectives assigned to the May Pen Traffic Office in Clarendon are investigating the fatal collision which reportedly occurred around 8: 30 am.
Police say a Subaru Impreza was traveling westward towards Four Paths. It is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with an Isuzu motor truck, which caused it to overturn and crash into a Toyota Probox. The police were summoned and a total of five passengers were taken to the hospital where Tulloch and Lodge succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the Subaru Impreza motorcar who attempted to flee the scene of the accident was taken into custody.
The JCF says the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
