Mt Pleasant blank Molynes 4-0
Shaqueil Bradford scored a second half double for Mt Pleasant FA as they beat Molynes United 4-0 at Drax Hall on Sunday for their third straight win in the Jamaica Premier League.
Bradford came off the bench to lead Mt Pleasant which snapped Molynes United’s two-game winning run and extending the time since they last conceded a goal to 310 minutes.
The win saw Mt Pleasant retake the lead in the points tables, on 25 points from 12 games, while Molynes are in 12th place on 10 points, just one point above the relegation zone.
Mt Pleasant wasted a chance to go ahead when Daniel Green missed a penalty in the 35th minute but Raheem Edwards made amends when he scored in the 56th minute.
Bradford then scored twice in an eight-minute span, in the 66th and 74th minutes, before Nicholas Nelson added a fourth in the 83rd minute.
Tivoli Gardens won back-to-back games for the first time this season to move up to eighth position on 13 points, holding off Chapelton Maroons 3-2 at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Tivoli Gardens lead 2-0 with goals from Nickalia Fuller in the 11th minute and Kavan Wilson in the 34th minute. However, Leaughn Williams scored in the 38th minute and Jahvon James in the 60th minute to draw the Clarendon team level at 2-2.
Shaquille Jones scored the winner in the 78th minute for Tivoli Gardens.
Dunbeholden United scored two late goals at home to earn a 3-3 draw against Portmore United who led 3-1.
Portmore United lead 2-0 with goals from Tarick Ximines in the 18th minute and Nickoy Gayle in the 49th minute.
Chantamoi Taylor pulled a game back for Dunbeholden in the 61st minute but Emilio Rosseau restored Portmore United’s two goals lead in the 72nd minute.
Shakeen Powell drew Dunbeholden to within a goal when he scored in the 75th minute before Chevoy Watkin earned a point when he scored in time added.
In the other game, Racing United and Humble Lion played out a 1-1 draw at Ferdie Neita Sports Complex. Nickyle Ellis gave Racing United the lead in the 47th minute but Roshane Sharpe salvaged a point when he scored in the 58th minute for Humble Lion.
