Wet field at Sabina Park delays start of second Test between Windies and Bangladesh
The start of the second Test between the West Indies and Bangladesh at Sabina Park has been delayed until mid afternoon due to a wet outfield.
The match was scheduled to bowl off at 10am but was pushed back after umpires deemed several areas of the pitch and the outfield unfit for play.
The Observer understands that the pitch wasn’t adequately covered during the overnight rainfall.
The next inspection will take place at 1pm to determine when the match can start or if the entire first day will be lost.
It’s the first time in three years that Jamaica is hosting a Test match.
The West Indies lead the two match series 1-0.
