Recording artiste Tyrone “Meggabling” Gray has come to the forefront with the release of his hit single Don of all Dons for production house Nassuh Don Music.

“I love the traction the song has been getting in the streets, and social media has been an invaluable tool in my career, as it has facilitated interactions with individuals from diverse cultures across the globe,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

Meanwhile, Meggabling — who grew up in west-rural St Andrew in the community of Essex Hall, Lawrence Tavern — noted that his environment helped to shape his artistry.

“My community has played a significant role in shaping my life and influencing my music. It is where I started my journey as a young DJ, performing on sound systems such as Lovers Choice and Super One. These experiences have greatly influenced my musical style and career,” he said.

Meggabling noted that music is his passion.

“I have been involved in the music industry for several years, but I only recently decided to take it more seriously. Despite the challenges I have faced, I have been fully committed to pursuing my music career for the past five months,” he said.

His inspiration for the genre comes from listening to the likes of Bounty Killer, Turbulence, General Trees, Capleton and Professor Nuts.

The international artiste he’s most impressed with is R Kelly because of his writing abilities.

“With the Almighty’s guidance, I aspire to accomplish all of my musical goals and aspirations within the next few years,” he said.
