Glenmuir through to ISSA Champions Cup final
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Defending champions Glenmuir High are through to the final of the ISSA Champions Cup after demolishing Ocho Rios High 5-1 in the semi-finals on Wednesday at the National Stadium.
The St Ann-based school took a surprise lead in the opening 21 minutes when Kaneil Brown’s effort snuck in the front post.
However, Glenmuir would end the first half with a 2-1 lead thanks to goals from Orel Miller and Dunsting Cohen.
The Clarendon-based school added a further three goals through Ronaldo Campbell, Nyron Allen and Orane Watson.
Glenmuir now advances to Saturday’s final and await the winner of the Hydel and Jamaica College contest.
Ocho Rios will now turn their attention to the DaCosta Cup semi-final next week.
