Bail extended for university student charged in road deaths of ‘Good Samaritans’
KINGSTON, Jamaica —A university student charged in relation to a double fatal crash on Washington Boulevard in September had his bail extended when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.
Tor Anuar McIntosh, who is charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, is set to return to court on January 30, 2025.
His matter was on Tuesday heard in an in-camera court session where members of the media were barred from entering.
The 22-year-old university student was granted bail in October in the sum of $3 million with the conditions requiring him to surrender travel documents and report once weekly to the police. He is also not permitted to drive any motor vehicle.

McIntosh is charged in the deaths of 37-year-old Javaughn Rodney, a motor vehicle inspector of Dagwood Place, Ebonyville in Spanish Town, St Catherine and 50-year-old businessman,= Mark Garrick of Rudolph Avenue, Kingston 20.
Duhaney Park police report that about 3:35 am on September 28, Rodney and Garrick were traveling in a vehicle when they stopped along the roadway to assist another motorist who had an accident. The two men were reportedly standing along the roadway when they were hit by a motor car.

McIntosh is being represented by attorneys Peter Champagnie and Samoi Campbell.
