Jahvillani sends message to Haad Ayse Pickney
Popular recording artsite Jahvillani has a message for the youth in his latest single, Haad Ayse Pickney.
Produced by YGF Records and Scotty’s Muzik, the track was officially released on November 15 and is featured on the Buried Alive rhythm.
“This song is about growing up as a young juvenile in the streets where it’s a dog eat dog world. The message to the youths is basically to just keep your head on your body and be mindful of the things you do. Being around bad company and not listening to your parents who want the best for you will definitely lead you astray,” the deejay told the Jamaica Observer.
He elaborated on the meaning behind the song’s title adding: “Watch the friends you keep because those same friends will turn on you for their own benefit. In a nutshell, “Haad ayse pickney if you don’t hear, you will feel.”
Since its release, the song has been performing well among fans and music lovers everywhere.
The accompanying music video, which was directed by Damanic Visions, has already gained over 235,000 views on YouTube since release.
The song is expected to grow in exposure and reach more ears, especially to those who need to hear it most.
“My hope for this song would be to create something that the youths can listen to deeply and realise this is real life and this is something that happens every day. I’d want it to tell a story, evoke emotions, and maybe even inspire someone,” the artiste expressed.
Jahvillani is an artiste synonymous with success and talent both locally and overseas. Within his musical journey, he has made huge strides with hits such as Wileside Government, Nuh Reason, Sunday To Sunday, and Clarks Pon Foot.
More is in store musically for Jahvillani as he puts time and energy into new projects.
“Right now I’m just focusing on releasing new songs and really pushing my career forward. I’ve been in the studio a lot putting in the work, collaborating with other artistes. It’s all about finding that perfect vibe and connecting with my audience,” he said.
