Slow start to voting in Trelawny Southern by-election
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Voting is off to a slow start at the 96 polling stations open to voters in the by-election now underway in Trelawny Southern.
“All the polling stations were opened on time. Everything is going smoothly,” returning officer Tarbert Golding told Observer Online.
The Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP’s) Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert will be going up against Independent candidate Lloyd ‘Mozy’ Gillings.
Members of the Trelawny Police Division who were visibly present across the constituency said there have so far been no reports of any incidents.
