SEMA continues to be the epicentre of automotive innovation
The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show concluded on Friday, November 8 at Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, USA.
“SEMA 2024 was a true celebration of where the automotive aftermarket industry is headed. This year, we saw a remarkable convergence of innovation, collaboration, and passion, with exhibitors, builders, and enthusiasts all coming together to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Innovation was the heart of SEMA Show 2024, driving the merger of creativity and technology across the Show floor,” said Mike Spagnola, SEMA president and CEO.
This year the event ran from November 5 to 8 bringing together over 2,400 exhibitors, including 580 first-time exhibitors, and attracting more than 160,000 attendees from 140 countries. Having debuted in 1967, SEMA now encompasses 1.2 million net square feet of indoor space and acres of outdoor exhibit space and activations showcasing ground-breaking products, cutting-edge technologies, and forward-thinking custom builds.
Friday, the last day of SEMA was highly anticipated by the public due to SEMA Cruise, where many of the SEMA display cars hit the streets of Las Vegas to be seen. This level of public interaction has evolved to include the Friday Enthusiast Experience, an opportunity for the public to experience the SEMA on its final day, and SEMA Live, its first ever livestream. Saturday hosted the largest public section of the show, SEMA Fest, featuring a blend of music, motorsports, and automotive culture open to all.
“We’re excited by the ground-breaking innovations showcased at SEMA 2024. The future of the automotive aftermarket has never been brighter, and SEMA is where it all begins,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice-president of events.
