Campbell’s Castle school to benefit from fun day
As the Yuletide nears, well-known entertainment publicist Susan Smith is spearheading a fun day and stage show to give back to the Campbell’s Castle Primary and Infant School in Manchester.
The event will be headlined by Quada, D’Angel and Razor B and feature Ibo Fyah, Lil Kish, Dejamck, and the Hilarious Granny.
“Honestly, these are artistes that I have worked with at some point and I reached out to them to be a part of the show. They are all very talented and bring their own flair to performances that I’m sure the family will enjoy,” Smith told the Jamaica Observer.
Slated for December 20, the event will also offer rides, a Santa Village, and a giveaway of over 200 toys.
A majority of the proceeds earned will be donated to the school.
Smith also said that she has been collaborating with the necessary stakeholders to ensure that the initiative will be successful.
“It has been hard, but the thing is, anything that is worth doing comes with challenges. I have been liaising with sponsors, as well as the school, so that everything runs as smooth as possible and that this event will be a memorable one for the kids,” she said.
Last year, Smith held a similar event which she said was commendable and she has brought forward lessons to make the second staging better.
The organiser is encouraging the public to support it.
“It will be fun. There are so many things that will be happening; so many giveaways, so many prizes and surprises,” she said.
