St James residents protest bad road conditions

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Several sections of the Sign to Adelphi main road in St James have been blocked by residents protesting the poor state of the thoroughfare.

Early Tuesday morning residents used trees and other objects to render most of the roadway impassable.

This has left a number of commuters having to seek alternative routes and other means to get to their destinations.

Reports are that the police and the fire department have been alerted to the situation.
