Dear Editor,

This nation was built upon godly principles.

Fun fact: Jamaica has the most churches per square mile.

Sadly, we have allowed all sorts of immorality, corruption, evil, bloodshed, crime, violence to creep into this nation.

Evil has become a stronghold in this nation. Corruption is found among our political leaders and church leaders. Satanism, obeah, witchcraft are becoming staples in this nation. Sexual immortality, including fornication, adultery, paedophilia, and homosexuality are all rampant in this nation. People have become immune and indifferent to hedonistic practices and we no longer have reverence for God or respect for lives. We take everything for a joke, even when danger stares us seriously in the face. Consequently, the fear of God is diminishing in this nation.

Let us turn back to God. Let us pray for our children. Let us pray for our leaders. Let us pray for the spiritual leaders of this church. Let us pray against the corruption and sin in this land. Let us come together to unite in repentance as a nation. Let the leaders of this nation seek God in repentance and call this nation to repentance. Let us unite in love, forgiveness, righteousness, holiness.

Lest this nation faces the anger of God and be destroyed and lives be lost, let us turn back to God! Let us humble ourselves and pray and seek God’s face, and turn from our wicked ways, in the words of 2 Chronicles 7:14. God promises to hear us from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.

May God touch our hearts as we heed these words for the well-being of this nation and our lives.
