Steve McClaren makes four changes to Reggae Boyz starting team against USA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Coach Steve McClaren has made four changes to the team that started against the United States on Thursday for Monday’s return leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarter-final game in St Louis, Missouri.
Tyreek Magee gets the starting nod in midfield and will be joined by Tayvon Gray, Di’shon Bernard and Isaac Hayden, who made his first appearance for the Reggae Boyz last week.
Mason Holgate was ineligible after his red card last week; attacking players Michail Antonio and Kaheem Dixon are not in St Louis after misplacing their travel documents, while Casey Palmer, Greg Leigh and Dexter Lembikisa drop to the bench.
Shamar Nicholson, who had some good scoring chances, and Demarai Gray, who missed a penalty, along with Leon Bailey will lead the attack.
Jamaica trails 1-0 in the home-and-away fixture and must win by at least two goals tonight if they are to qualify for the next round.
Starting XI:
Andre Blake, Joel Latibeaudiere, Tayvon Gray, Amari’i Bell, Di’shon Bernard, Isaac Hayden, Damion Lowe, Tyreek Magee, Demarai Gray, Leon Bailey, Shamar Nicholson
