17-y-o ‘Bredda Bredda’ killed in St Andrew

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a 17-year-old who was reportedly attacked at the intersection of Ashley Road and Burke Road in St Andrew on Friday.

He has been identified as Sayid Mitchell, also known as ‘Bredda Bredda’ from Metcalfe Road in the parish.

Reports are that about 8:40 am, the police were in the area when they heard explosions. The officers went to investigate and found Mitchell shot and injured along the roadway.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.
