KFC Jamaica seeks to clarify construction issues in Christiana
KFC Jamaica has sought to clarify reports of a stop order issued on the construction of the building which will house its new restaurant in Christiana, Manchester.
“Given the recent developments, KFC Jamaica wishes to clarify that it does not own the building currently under construction in Christiana, Manchester but instead is a tenant. The stop order issued pertains to the developer overseeing the construction of the property, not to KFC,” the restaurant franchise said in a press release.
KFC Jamaica said while opening the new location, the restaurant received the required approvals from the parish council for the specific buildout and outfitting.
“The restaurant has since adhered to all necessary compliance measures as per the lease agreement, ensuring all operations are within the boundaries of the law. Our focus remains on fulfilling all legal obligations as tenants and awaiting the completion of the building by the developer to begin operations,” KFC Jamaica said, adding “We are enthusiastic about the opening of this new location and are committed to serving the Christiana community. This new KFC restaurant will bring much-anticipated job opportunities to the area, and we look forward to welcoming our team members and customers once the premises are ready.”
The release added: “KFC Jamaica has always maintained a solid commitment to compliance and safety across our network; this project is no exception. We appreciate the patience of the Christiana community and look forward to serving them soon.”
