I’ll take the horror of Finsac to the grave
Dear Editor,
The article by columnist Garfield Higgins on Sunday, November 10, 2024 brought tears to my eyes.
Financial Sector Adjustment Company (Finsac) was a wicked and terrible deed upon poor black people. It is very unjust that those who caused the crash in the 90s have not suffered pain like we who lost our businesses, houses, and land.
I got divorced because I could not take care of my many obligations. These days I am living from hand to mouth, depending on the kindness of my son, who also lost his business in the 90s and had to migrate.
God is not sleeping. Those who caused the crash, I hope they struggle to sleep at nights, like I do. It is only fair.
I will go to my grave remembering the wickedness that was done to me and my family.
