Racing beat Chapelton to snap 5-game winless streak in JPL
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Newcomers Racing United ended their five-game winless streak in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League on Sunday when they beat fellow promoted side Chapelton Maroons 1-0 at Sabina Park.
Tyrone Mullings’ strike in the 59th minute was enough for the St Catherine-based club as they registered their second win of the season.
They move to 12th on 8 points, the same as 11th-placed Chapelton Maroons who are now winless in their last five encounters.
In other games, Portmore continue their stay at the top of the table after a 1-0 win over Humble Lion while Mount Pleasant Academy moved into second after a 3-1 win over Harbour View.
Late kickoffs for Cavalier vs Vere Phoenix United and Montego Bay United vs Dunbeholden will complete Sunday’s action.
