Xodus Content Day offers insight into costumes for 2025 road march
Xodus Utopia unveiled its amazing costumes for Carnival 2025 at its Content Day, recently at the Summit in New Kingston.
The costumes are Talon (inspired by a bird), Anolia (inspired by a lizard), Bloom (which was inspired by flowers), Mariposa (inspired by a butterfly), Venom (inspired by a spider), and Wet (inspired by rain).
There is also a private section which has three costumes, namely Ivy (inspired by vines), Sol (inspired by the sun), and Dragon Fruit (inspired by the dragon).
Jess Campbell is the head of design and production at Xodus carnival.
“This year we’ve offered more body options, accessories options, and backpack options, just giving more options for people to fit into a costume they like. We’re trying to venture into a lot more for the upcoming season,” Campbell told the Jamaica Observer’s Splash.
As models, both male and female, made their way onto the stage to show off the costumes, the feedback from the specially invited guests was positive.
“Today we ended up doing Content Day, which is something we’ve never done before. We want to ensure that our ambassadors and our models are still being included in the things that we are doing. We didn’t have a launch and we’re doing a lot more virtual things,” Campbell added.
She continued: “The interaction on social media was excellent, we got great feedback as well.”
Kandi King, head of marketing for Xodus, shared: “Content Day exceeded our expectations. Our goal was to create organic content with our models and ambassadors, giving them fresh, original material to share throughout the season, instead of just reposting our content. Not only did we achieve that, but we also reached over 200,000 people on Instagram that day! It was a total win-win; our social media is buzzing, our ambassadors are thrilled, and we’re seeing a direct boost in sales,” said King.
Carnival season kicks off in a few months, while the road march is scheduled for April 27, 2025.
